Results from the special NSSE Pulse administration in fall 2020 are featured in the Washington Post report, “College students are weary of ‘Zoom U.’ But they’re also trying to make the best of it.” Findings show lower student ratings of the quality of their interactions with faculty and with peers in remote or hybrid courses compared to mostly in-person classes. These findings raise old and new questions about quality of interactions and other factors that influence learning during this abrupt pivot to remote instruction.
