Navigating Your Institutional Report 2023

Use this guide to locate items in your NSSE Institutional Report 2023 report package, and to help you interpret and use the results. The report package detailed below has three main sections represented by colored folders, each divided into subsections. These mirror the folders and materials available for download via the secure Institution Interface. Icons provide additional guidance on where to get started and how to find what you are looking for.

Accessing Your Results

Here's how to access your NSSE data and results:

Download zip files with respondent data and institutional reports from the “Data & Reports” table.
View your Administration Summary and Selected Comparison Groups reports online (PDF copies are also in the zip file).
From the same table, access your Online Institutional Report, a user-friendly way to access and view your NSSE reports in a web browser.
Interact with the Report Builder, a web-based tool for creating reports tailored to student and institutional characteristics of your choosing.

Getting Started

New data and results can be overwhelming just as a semester starts. We suggest starting with your NSSE and FSSE Snapshots to quickly view a summary of important findings about your institution.

Consider your institution’s key goals and priorities to selectively choose where to look within other reports and how to investigate your data.

NSSE, FSSE, and BCSSE Overviews provide context for your administration, as do your Administration Summary reports and Respondent Profiles.

Resources for Using Your Data & Results

We provide a wide variety of guides, tools, and resources on our website to help you make the most of your data and results. We have gathered a list of resources specifically helpful for using your Institutional Report package.
